Has anyone ever seen a 4' X 8' sheet of tin? Aluminum?
I am looking for a sheet that size for a (plasma cut) project. I am trying to find 1/8" thickness.
Not looking for a specific retailer, just wondering if such a beast exists. THANKS

Tin is a slang term. 4x8 is the standard with 5x10 and 5x12 and others as options as well as coils too.
Aluminum at that thickness doesn't come out very nice with plasma. Thinner does a bit better. Steel is much nicer and cheaper for this and stainless is nicer as well but more costly. They also come in 4x8 too. HTH

Thanks guys - I am using a projector to cast the ridgeline of a famous mountain range onto the piece, tracing it, then cutting the sillouhette as a wall hanging on a large (and high) surface. I have access to a CNC, but the rougher texture of free handing will be better for this application.
Backlighting, etc. should finish it off nicely.
Thanks again.
