3rd Hand

I work alone most of the time, so I am always looking for that "3rd hand" or "skyhook." I came up with the idea of using a tripod for work on uneven ground. I tapped a small piece of channel to the size of the screw on the tripod and then can use most styles of clamps to secure the work.Alturus job.jpg

Yet another entry for the "why didn't I think of that?" list...
Really nice idea. Do you have a bunch of fixtures & so on to
attach to the top to make it easier to hold things (such as
a 'v' to hold round material)?
