Hey sorry, I never leave. I am just so comfortable here in my cave. Just thought a few of yalls out there would get a kick out of the flat bill hood. Plus, when you are working on a Sunday for 14 hours, you got to get in a laugh or two.

It's a pancake, several companies make tham.
It's about all you see in pipeline work.
They've been around since WWII.

All you see in pipeline? California Pipeline sees a lot of huntsman. But right on, to each his own I guess. The wood frame that makes up the eye-box is what got me.
It's hilarious that pancake hoods date back to WWII because when this guy showed up in my yard this morning, I thought he was aged enough to have welded on tanks back then.

Two posts back you didn't know what it was.
Now you're telling me how they pipeline in California. If you'd ever set foot on a right of way, you would of seen many pancakes.
Even in California. I have pipelined in California. Several times.

JT is correct. It's a common sight among pipeliners.

I have a wendys...best thing i have ever bought. Its light weigh, comfortable, and there isnt any glare off the lens when you have light around. You actually sand the box down to fit your face so it only fits you and no one else can use it. I really started appreciating it when I started welding pipe......
