Miller guy here for sure, but there are some seriously fine machines out there with red paint jobs. Lincoln has all but owned the pipelining industry (not exactly warehouse production-line environment...) and is the still the only serious DC generator manufacturer. Ones built in the 60s are still in high demand.

I have a lincoln at home and it pisses me the **** off! It's only about ten years old and it can't keep a steady output! (Lincoln ac welder)

In New Mexico? Though I do remember driving down the entire length of the state without seeing a single law-enforcement officer of the non-border-patrol type. Well it wasn't so much driving as it was flying really low...

Mine's a year older, I put the 110,000th mile on it this afternoon. F-250 Supercab with the long bed, only 2WD.

Looks like a statistically sound sample to me... an example in a logics class I had many years ago "all Indians walk in single file, at least the one I saw did". Any of the majors, Miller, Lincoln, Hobart etc build mostly good with a few lemons.

i have a squarewave 255 (10 years old) and a lincoln 100 wirefeed (5 yrs old and home depot bought). both have been excellent machines. in my opinion this is just another ford/chevy/dodge debate. i do know that an idealarc of that vintage is not worth 3500$. even with the hf. i wouldnt pay more than 800-1000$. a brand new syncro 250 with a cooler could be had for 3500$. you can watch ebay and find mid '90's syncro 300's for under 2,000$. if you want a welder, sell your truck out right, get what you can, and buy what you want.......................................as to the blue,red,grey debate, i have guys lined up to buy my squarewave 255. which is not for sale, alot of people feel this is one of the nicest tig machines built

I have 4 reds & 4 blues both are great machines.I love the blue because the part are easy to to get miller gos out of there way to make me happy.Lincoln on the other hand will not work with me on parts I may need. I suppose its because I have already perchased the machine why make the parts readily available.

Hopefully its just a temporary management problem. Any buisness as large as Lincoln nows that service after the sale is esential to ther future. Hope they straiten out youre parts problem.
