Anyone have one of northerns 1 ton 110v cable winch for $299 seems like a good buy i will use this thing only a few time a month so it won,t be over worked.I just wondering if it a POS before i buy one.Its ITEM#142262 Thanks for any help in advance.I don,t know how to copy and paste to the thread sorry guys.

I'm interested also in how good these are. I've been thinking for a while of getting one but didn't know anyone who had one. I would use it for lifting my skid in & out of my truck on occasion. I currently use a manual chain hoist & it gets old sometimes. Let us know how it is.

update/pics
The winch is here.I,m still in the middle of the jib rebuild but have a few pics time has been scarce real busy fixing customers snowplows after tigging on the roof for 9hrs a day today at 6:30am being 27deg.F
Anyways here are some pics.One of the bottom base 3/4"thk.12"x16".The top hinge point 1"thk flanges 6"x4"HSS 1/2"wall thickness.This is upright anchored as of yesterday.

I am using one similar. Its not a 1000lb model but none the less here is my setup.
I am using unistrut for the rail. The rail is rated for 1600lb. The rollers are rated at 400lbs each but you can get ones rated for 600lbs each.
