How to build these type of tube mounts?

It appears that thay have been drilled and spotfaced OR had a plug pressed inside of a short piece of tubing. Hard to tell as they are blurry and there is overspray on the face surface.

Looks like a solid piece of round stock was drilled and turned. A piece of tubing was fishmouthed and then welded to the other piece.

well thats simple enough.
seems like a tube with a plug center drilled would be the simplest / easy-est way if you don't have a lath. you could always drill the side of the tube to weld the plug in place threw the side. just get some tube and solid stock that fits tight, cut to fit.

had some fenders that had disconecting flaris that looked like that. it was a tube with a washer fit snug then tack welded on one side. used it so a bolt could join it then had plastic caps so you couldnt see

My guess is that it's a washer welded inside the tubing. The reason being to prevent the bushings from distorting too much under load (which would change the drive line geometry).
