Hey Y`all,
Here is a adustable anvil stand I built for my Mouse hole anvil 108LBS. for demos. Since sometimes the ground is not flat at some demos I made it where it would be level where ever it needed to be. Its got all thread to make it level where ever it goes. the legs come off for tansport in my mom`s Nissan X-tera.

hey wireburner,
I'd love to see this stand ( as I just fabbed an anvil from a piece of R.R. track), but your pics are too small for my old eye's to see..

Chris,
Thanks for the link to the larger images.
Question: I've seen/heard that you need a more massive stand for proper use of an anvil.
Something like a large piece of dense tree stump. Your stand looks great, but doesn't meet this criteria. Have I been given incorrect information? I had asked my brother to get me a 3 foot tall log that's 2 foot tall in diameter the next time he goes up to get firewood on which to mount my home made anvil. If that's not necessary, I'd build something closer to what you've done.
No, I'm not into smithing. I do ornamental iron work ( fencing, railings, furniture, etc..) and machining work.
thanks,
Mark
