I use tri-mix with short arc, 98/2 for pulse and iirc also for the flux core. Im sure there is more than one way to skin a cat.![]()

Not only does he obviously have an axe to grind, but his grammar is worse than a 5th grader's! I just can't stand all of the terrible grammar I'm seeing on all of the welding message boards these days either! I really wish people would pay attention to what they're saying and how they're saying it!

For solid SS wire use tri-mix (90% Helium/7.5% Argon/2.5% CO2)
for SS flux core I prefer to use 75% Argon/25% CO2 over straight CO2
I would only use 98% Argon/2% Oxygen for spray or pulse spray transfer.Rich Ferguson
