I 've been looking around the site alot latley learning alot from others post and, desided to join.
First off I have a question I'm looking at this older Miller welder on a local classifieds site and, I have nowIdea what it is nether dose the owner. I was just wondering if anyone hear could help out. I know it's a Miller arc from the pic's but what I don't know is if it's just AC or AC/DC. Also is this welder any good. He's asking $100 for it. Any help would be great thanks.

to me it looks like it might be ac/dc cause of the three lead hookups at the bottom but im not shure. do u have any other pictures? it could also be an inverter cause of the hookups to i think.

Looks like a Miller Thunderbolt 225 -250 amp AC machine. A machine with AC and DC capabillites would probably have more lead terminals. I used to own the ac/dc version, it was a good stick machine for all around uses. $100 isn't a bad price if it comes with the leads. The newer version of that machine costs $389 right here on the Miller site.

Definitely straight AC. It will have a work plug and an AC high and AC low output plug.

I have one just like that I bought around 1980 new and I still wouldn't take a hundred bucks for it even tho I never use it. Should be a good deal.
