Ouch I got the big reaming. Bought a spool gun a week ago and they set me up with a 60 CC FT tank for $127.00 $3.00 hasmat and 17.50 to fill it (argon). Ouch

was paying about $40 for refill on a 300 argon from airgas.went up to $50 now.

Well I paid $50 for a full size oxy and full size argon today, So I think your paying alot,
I've known these guys since I was 12 though, so that may have something to do with it...

can I ask do you all own your tanks or you rent them? I have always wonderd if i did just some tig welding at home would it be better to own a tank or rent one?? Thanks

Owning usually means you're saving money in under 10 years vs even a good rental rate.
If you need to upgrade, a good LWS will give you credit towards your new tank for what you paid for your old one. But, steel going up means you can probably sell it to someone and make money instead.Syncrowave 250DX

All you guys mad about what you pay for the price of Argon, this is what we pay here (just called the LWS) JUST FOR GAS ALONE!
80CF...$117.38
300CF...$356.54
Same answer whenever asked: "Well, we had to ship it over here...."
This is what we pay to live in paradise. If we don't like it, yeah, we could leave. We just deal with it. It's been around 85 degrees the past 30 days, winds 10-15mph.
