    Default Aahhh...the memories....

I was in the split-training program. After Junior year of high school, went to Ft. Dix (also known as the armpit of the U.S.) and did my basic there. Went back to Senior year (bald), graduated then went to AIT in Colorado for 6 months. After 1 year in the reserves, signed up for regular Army and spent 4 years in Frankfurt,Germany (1 summer as a lifeguard at Cheimsee for AFRC).
FK, You probably would have hated basic in Hawaii, because they wouldn't let you go anywhere!!!

I'm sure most of you guys know this, but those carbide saws are "dry cut" saws. Cold saws are the ones that cut with coolant and cost at least 3x as much and the blades cost 2x as much as the dry saws.

I have had a dry cut PC for the past 3+ years. Great saw, much better than the abrasive saw. I have gone through 7 blades so far. When money is plentiful, I want to step up to a KAMA band saw. My friend has one and they do what they claim.

yeah, I know it's a dry cut saw, but it's nice when you can grab the metal as soon as it's cut, cut 1/8" off without the blade flexing, and I just got my freud dablo blades in the mail today!! Will try them out tomorrow. Will see if the $45 blades are just as good as the $100 name brand blades!!!
