Hi Jeff:
No real progress since these pics. were taken. I have done some work on the dash & intercooler plumbing. Doing a little work on the pass. side header & plan to rebuild the firewall next. Just too many other irons in the fire to get much hobby time in.

Here is a picture of the University of Minnesota Formula SAE car. Entirely college student designed and built. The frame is student TIG welded 4130. I did all of our aluminum welding, which was entirely non-structural.
I will post more pics when I get home

Holy crap, rudeness
Welcome, 2tay530! I think it's awesome you are interested in this type of stuff..........instead of out running the streets acting like a hoodlum! Don't let anyone steer you away from your interests, no matter who it is! My son is 12 yrs old and can weld/fabricate with the best of 'em while following ALL the proper safety precautions. He knows this because he is not allowed to "run the streets" and is taught the value of hard work and earning a dollar! He loves cars, Tractors and anything mechanical and loves to drive!!! (since he was 7!!!) So, I tell you, go on, chase your interest, be someone and it doesn't matter if your 5 or 13! We need more yungins like you and more parents willing to teach the yungins something.......instead of saying "get out of the way, I'll do it"...........or........."your'e too young to learn that".........etc... Good luck to you!
