  • Thanks for the tip on using a helium/argon mixture! I am aware that you can buy mixtures with different ratios. Thoughts on which one? I know that helium gives a hotter arc. I have heard that it can give a cleaner weld (less smut or "sooty stuff".) Is this true?

    First thing on Monday, I will talk to the the supervisors about getting a Miller rep. to help. I would happily provide pictures, but I don't have good way of getting any. If that would really help, I can try to find a way.
