    yeah the technician at speedglass , said I could try turning up the sensitivity.... it was on 2 and he suggested turning it to 3..... there are only 4 settings...

    my helmet at home must be on a high sensitivity setting because one time I brought some 500 watt lights over to light my welding...

    I put two new batteries in it , but I haven't had the chance to try it out yet..... Speedglass offered to sell me a new lens insert assembly for $110 with only a 1 year warranty.......

    I have a speedglass auto darkening SL helmet and in the last week or so once in a while the auto darkening just goes off and I am blinded, then in a fraction of a second it is working again.....but I don't notice any change in the welding power or light......so I was thinking maybe the battery is going...

    I am trying to buy our HF-p from the company I work at. I have seen them from 1200 down to 300...... I told my boss Id give the company $400....its old technology!!!!!!!!!!!!

    the previous owner has a white paint mark on the power settings...it is close to 19.... and he said he found 4-5 is best for wire feed..... and he was doing aluminum signs...so he was welding close to what I wanted to weld on!!!............but I think I have found out that the 5356 is a harder wire...

    hey guys, I did a little test last night.... threw some gobs of 5356, then cranked the wire feed up as well as the power( 6 wire feed at the spool gun, and power setting at 26!).. and it still gobbed.... then I backed the wired feed off and left the power setting high... I melted the wire back to the...

    that's what I think I experience....I ran one spool of 5356, and it seems I had issues, where I didn't have issues when I welded similar aluminum with the 4043. When I was doing the 1/8th sheet, I was on a power setting of 19 and I was feeding 4-5...closer to 4..... and occassionaly id poke through!!!,...

    so I have a miller 250, with a spool gun.. I have welded fine with it on almost all my projects...which is mostly boat work.....090-.125 thick aluminum sheet. I have also welded some .250 plate to the back of my boat.... welding has gone fine..i was originally using 4043, but someone suggested I use...
