  1. Corpus Sculpture

I was commissioned to make a 5 ft. tall corpus sculpture to hang at the parish of St. Marry Magdalene, Brighton MI. Design was created by me and my brother ( Noah Hornberger) have about 30hours into it so far.

  2. Welding table... Scrap metal, cannibalized parts, clearance table casters....

I'm brewing up a welding table.... Here's some pictures so far. Most everything except the 3/8" plate pieces were scrap or clearance table stuff. I paid an unheard of $17 (total!) for the 5" casters (truly $110-120 value in casters)... Sometimes you are in the right place at the right time......

  7. Paper Towel Dispencer

I have started this thread to show want I made. This is not the only way to make one nor is it the best way. I work on old MX bikes. Forks, shocks and engines all pulled apart leaking oil everywhere. I don't use rags to mop up the oil as this would mean having an endless supply. Rather I perfer...

  9. Boat Stern Drive Repair

A buddy had a problem with his boat, the coupler between the engine and the out drive blew and took part of the stern drive bellhousing with it. It had some pretty good cracks, but where they occured the part was more of a scattershield than structural, which is why it received the impact....

  10. Cool Chainsaw Rivet Spinner Made.

Another project where i needed a welder and a metal lathe. I needed one of these since i "retired" and have lots of chainsaws to play with. I can get chain cheaper in rolls but you have to connect the links. So i built my own rivet spinner. My dad had one years ago and i remembered how it worked....

  12. Aluminium Tool Tidy

I started this thread to show what I have made, I do not suggest anyone else follow my work nor do I suggest this is the only way to build a tool tidy. Experts will find this topic very boring. Today I started making a tool tidy for my welding table. My welding bay is all aluminium (floor,...

  13. MX Foot Peg Widener

Vintage motocross bikes pre 85 and older had very small foot pegs. These small pegs offered little grip in the wet and have evolved over the years to the large ones of today. To bring these pegs up to date you can purchase large new ones if someone is manufacturing them for the bike you have, if...

  14. TIG Torch Holder

This is how I made a holder, it is not the only way and it is most likely not the best way. I started this thread to help or motivate others. If you are an expert you will find this stuff very boring. Today I was sick of taking so much time to safely place my TIG torch onto the bench I decided...

  15. Aluminium Workshop Bin

Every workshop needs a bin. For housing waste be it scrap metal, filings, swarf or mistakes. I have just constructed a new workshop/Welding bay and need a metal bin for all of the above reasons. I rang all the major hardwares and the machinery shop, I then rang an industrial cleaning supply...

I have started this thread to show an air tool hanger I made. I am not suggesting that it is the best or the only way to make one. This is just to help or motivate others. 18. Tomato cages.

I posted this on Hobart but thought I might as well toss it in here for free too, ha. Made vs buying and they are so much better. I didn't shop for price but a roll of mesh was 90$, got about 40 for labor for my helper to fabricate them. A pair of small bolt cutters and a little jig I made from a...

  19. aluminum hot tub steps

I broke my moms cheap plastic hot tub steps, so i decided to make her some more robust ones to replace them. They are made from 1.250" aluminum square tubing .125" wall. A guy brought me this part with a big hole in the pan where something went into it. No problem to weld just layed it on a chunk of steel flat bar and welded over it with my spoolgun and 4043 wire. It held water so i would say its good to go...Bob
