  • Safty Glasses

I guess this is just like the Boots thread but hey, Im wondering what kind of glasses everyoen wears out there? I want to at some point get a good pair that I wont have to replace every month or so.
Right now I am wearing ZTeck glasses there pretty nice and light to wear, unlike the ones at the school there so big and bulky.
Thanks for reading I hope my post helped

    My personal preference

I like my Uvex Genesis. I have a full set of lenses:

Clear for working in the almost dark.
Reflect 50 for most of the time. They look clear from inside.
    Yellow for tracing ultraviolet dye.
    Red for using my laser.
    Espresso for sunny days.
Shade 3 and Shade 5 for O/A work.

What I like most about them is I can pop the lenses off for cleaning and pop them right back on.

    Excuse me, was I rambling?

        Prices

I think my price at Grainger for a new pair of lenses and frames is around $8. The frames last a long time, but the lenses take the beating and have to be regularly changed. I go through a set of lenses a month or so and they run me $5-$7. Pretty cheap insurance if you ask me. A lot cheaper than a new set of eyes.
