  • Holes in the wrong place

Followed the blue prints. Drilled the holes at 3 1/2" on center. Different brackets were ordered. Hole centers now need to be 4 1/8" center to center. No problem. Make a little drill jig. Go off existing holes, drill new holes in the right place then turn them into slots so it looks like we know what we are doing and didn't mess up.

This mess up only cost about 1 1/2 hours, not so bad. Frame is back in assembly and job is still on track. Jig was made from a piece of 1/2 x 1/2 hot roll steel out of the scrap pile.
