Customer bought a hammer for his excavator to help him keep working with the heavy frost. Pin location needed to be modified to fit his quick coupler. This pc. has been modified at least once before. It had extra bushings with it also.

What I did was measure the difference I needed in pin centers & cut out the one location off center. Flipped pcs around & left to right. This moved the centers to where I needed them. He gave me 2.25" hot rolled bar to use for pins & the bushings were 60 mm (2.359"). So I wrapped the pins where they go through the bushings with .050" sheet. This gave me a tight fit. I also had to make up 3/8" spacers on each inside to shrink it 3/4" total to fit tightly side to side. Welded everything solid as per customer.

Another fine looking job, You sure do seem to get a lot of bucket work, Your next toy should be a line boring machine, If I had a Mill and a Lathe, I think I would spring for one.

I was just looking at the portable line boring machines yesterday, From what I can see your going to spend about $ 10 Grand for the portable set ups, Then you need a bore welder and a lathe and mill.

nice work, I cringe when a customer needs bucket work done that needs to be refitted. usually because they got a great deal on something for a different machine. then they figure it will be a couple hundred for me to fix. (20 hours later) ok . sure now after paying me $200 , their into a bucket for about $50 less then a new bucket. sorry for ranting. GREAT WORK.
