  • Need someone to build me a push bumper for my pickup please

i am looking for someone to build me a heavy duty easily removable push bumper for my 2006 chevy 1500. i dont want to remove the bottom valance of the bumper or anything. if someone would weld me one up and get make it removable i would pay for them to ship it out here if it was quality and what i was looking for. i need it to be a steel plate across the front of it and i will bolt rubber to it.let me know if youre interested. the closer to northeast nebraska the better.

    track

it is going to be used at a dirt circle track for starting sprint cars and pushing disabled cars off the track

What about a front receiver hitch?

and then just find someone local to weld up a pushbar that slides in.

1 problem with the front hitch is you have to cut a holebin the lower valance so that might be and issue
The other thing I was thinking was how would the "insert" hold upbto off square pushing. To push start that's easy to be square to the car. But when pushing a disabled car off the track you might have to push hard on it and you might be off square.
You could mount it in the tow hook holes in the bumper. It would not be an easy instal or removale, 4 12mm bolts (I think), like a hitch would be. But that would move your mountings farther out towards the out side

Mount two receiver tubes where the tow hooks mount so that you have two points of contact.

          Just thinking

I can make it for you, but why not call around locally? Shipping will not be cheap. Seems like an odd request. I have a few ideas if you are interested...

Is this a lease truck, is that why you're worried about the plastic parts? I would just replace the whole bumper with a push bumper for a tow truck. Www.AWdirect.com or www.truckntow.com

                  check out craigs list

I get requests all the time for bumpers. I always tell them that my price will be twice of what they can get one at the 4 X 4 dealer. Of course they already think that is way too high. But I bet they don't think for a miinit that their wages are too high. I might tho.

Think about it Elvis. He's surrounded by race car guys and he's either unlikable or too cheap to get it done from some of the best and most reasonable fabricators around.

No worries. Isn't it all about the sales pitch? I've dealt with people that are too cheap. I can understand it to a point. I've also been places where there isn't a good company for 100 miles. Of course I thought the op was from a big city.
