  • titanium tig welding?

Im looking for a school of sorts that gives you a titanium cert. also Im looking to see what the job market is in maryland for titanium welders. if anyone can help out that would be great.

I'd find a government contractor. That would be my first guess. Most places that weld titanium out here cert them selves through an NDT program.
Is there a demand for this type of work in your area? and is it worth it?

I agree with Kerry, it's the company that will certify you to their spec...it is the primary contractor or customer that requires the specific cert. Ti certs are easy to pass...it's my favorite of all metals to weld. I have a few tricks that aren't in the books, too if you're interested.

maybe as simple as a feather in his cap. or he could be bored.
Hey if you are bored try welding some barilium copper for excitement.
(just kidding man the stuff will kill you if not properly ventilated and if you are not wearing the correct respirator)
If you're looking to make some money try micro welding there is a big demand for guy's that can do that. and it pay big time.

my guess would be extremely small tight spots/critical welding with a small specialty torch
