Why can't folks call me by the name my mumma gave me; Sasquatch.

Instead, it's always "big foot" this, and "big foot" that. Come on. Why won't people appreciate me for my mind!

I would now. After your two cerebral passages, I do know that you're smarter than me.

Haha. If only that were true.

And it wouldn't suprise me if you were trying to butter me up in attempt to throw me off guard, setting me up for a side attack like any good opponent would.

Concerning the fillet weld, I have noticed many times people try to run to cold and in an effort to wet the edges or spread the bead width they will continue to feed filler thinking it will somehow accomplish this. This actually cools the puddle even more resulting in overlap or lack of fusion. Keep practicing and never give up!

Running too cold does seem to be one of my common errors. Even my welds that turn out pretty good are still on the cold side of perfect. It is very rare for me to go the other way.

I suppose that might be in part because too much the other way (hot-wise) pretty much means no metal left in the area to finish welding. So attempting not to vaporize the metal makes me (and I assume many newbs) heat shy.

I have been working on that. Practice, practice, practice.
