  • Torch Reel

I got tired of moving around the oxy/acet bottles and torches. I made a cylinder rack and bolted it to the wall and installed a hose reel above it.

        Ya can't beat that.

Get some bigger tanks when it allows & you'll really be cookin'
So you're telling me...You're not nostalgic? Then, give me another word for it......

That is a great idea. It beats moving the tanks constantly.

              Safety Suggestion

Any chance of those getting knocked over out of there? If so you may want add a chain up higher or also safety caps.I maybe being over cautious, but i,d hate to see a valve shear off a tank.

Why are the tanks not sitting on the ground? I'm thinking along the same lines as Admweld, this just doesn't look entirely safe.
                Obviously, I'm just a hack-artist, you shouldn't be listening to anything I say .....

JS.; Ditto, That's the first thing I thought of also !
I'd put that setup on the floor with a chain around it !

Same here , did you see the mythbuters knock the valve off of a 80 cf tank?
It went through a block wall and made a hole in the block 3 or 4 feet behind it..
That episode made me think twice about laying a tank in the back of my truck when getting re-fills..
I use small 40s but the way the 80 went off I think a 40 might get in the cab with me..

my garage is only 19 feet square in side and having the floor space makes perfect sense to me.
i'm trying to make room now to fit my soon to be new utility body in my garage.( i have two inches of room to make it though the door)

The chains were not installed in the picture. I will update with the chain pics later. tanks cannot fall out.
