Do these arrow shape mag clamps I see advertised affect the welding process in any way? If not, where is a good recommended website to purchase a set? Thanks

depending on the size of the magnet and how close it is to the weld. TIG is especily bad when it comes to magnets. they do set up a small magnetic field near the magnet and electricity is a similer field.
DC stick and TIG are most efected AC stick and MIG work better near magnetic fields.
that could be part of why they dont go to a point, to alow the magnetic hold to not be so close to the weld point.
short answer is yes it can efect the weld.
long answer is yes it efects it but there are ways to work threw it if needed. depends on the process and how close you are to the magnet.
as for where to get them ??? look for the best deal i suspect would be the best answer.HF has them on sail all the time.
    hope thats of some help.
    James

I just use them to tack stuff up, then take em off and weld away...
1st time I went to vegas, found HF and felt like I was in a candy store!!!
Magnets were on sale and I bought A LOT!!! Then we flew to Florida, then back to Hawaii...yes, with stop overs along the way...yes, hassle through inspection at the airports!!!

Dude! Don't even go there!!! Flew to Vegas, drove to Colorado, back to Vegas, flew to Florida, then flew back to Vegas, then home.
Vegas to Colorado? No route 66 anymore...drove through Utah and other places...went 4 extra hours out of our way... think they had fun with the "tourist"...that's ok, I have fun with them here too
(actually I don't, I REALLY help them out, however, I have friends that send them to the other side of the island, making them take an extra 2 hour drive)

I was on plane's only for short trips to the neighbor islands (20mi - 40 min flights), but took my first real one to New Jersey for Basic Training when I was 17 years old. No need to rush it
