    We built hundreds with tube, they were gang cut parts and fit like this. If you are using angle like the second pic.

      In fact I clean up the pic a little. Holds all the pieces together with the least fit and weld. You could weld the snot out of it, double the weld and make it 5% stronger which in its application is pretty much irrelevant.

        Along angles we used small welds, maybe 1/8 or so not more than 1 1/2 long. dont need to be closer than a foot.
