  • Boat lower unit repair pics.

    I took a few pics of a boat motor I repaired yesterday.

    I had to cut out the piece of aluminum to clear that little circle shaped fin, and then weld another piece on top, and blend in in. Had a few porosity problems with that top piece, but all in all it was a easy job. I was kind of worried I'd have problems w/ the cast aluminum.

    Used the Dynasty 200dx.

    Looks good, Just curious what you used for filler?

      I started to grab the 1/16 5356, but I went for the 1/8. can't remember the alloy. Probably 5356 also.

          looks good, should have fixed the propeller wile you had it.
