        They are made of 3 metals and advertised to be usable on all metals. One company calls it Tri Mix.

                I've tried Air-gas's version
                I believe it's purple color
                It's ok,nothing revolutionary like they want you to believe.
                I keep coming back to either blue (2%) or gold (1.5%) lanthanated....it just works for my shop

                  Oh were are talking about tungsten Thought the question was stick electrodes I use the Purple 3/32 for everything and like it. Aluminum, steel with the big Miller or Lincoln transformer machine. I can sharpen them to a point and they run just fine. They don't do well on an inverter so I have read. I don't use one so I don't know.
