  • Trailblazer w/Kubota Feedback Request

Looking to replace a cranky CAT gen we have and the Trailblazer 325 is an option. I'm familiar with Orange Tractors (own quite a few) and Kubota engines, but don't know a lot about this Trailblazer --- any feedback would be appreciated. Plan on using it (a lot) around 250 AMPs.

Machine has been here for a few days --- I believe I bought one of the "closeouts" (decent price). Compared to the old CAT it replaced you can barely tell if its running. Power output is very stable and fuel consumption seems very, very low compared to the CAT. Some have experienced head gasket problems on the early models, I think Miller/Kubota solved that problem with a new design --- reminds me of the head gasket problems Ford had on its diesels. I'm a big fan of Kubota stuff. This Trailblazer should easily last decades with the right lubricants/maintenance.

Just wanted to keep folks apprised of the TB's performance --- now have about 15 hours on it and it's performing like a swiss jeweler's watch. Most impressive product from Miller and Kubota. Running synthetic oil and expect to get 20,000 + hours out of it -- perhaps shorter as this model revs up and down by design. I run Caterpillar lubricants and extended life coolants in all the equipment -- outstanding stuff. The CAT ELCs really help with cavitation -- definitely solved some of the Ford 6.X diesel problems I was experiencing in the Super Dutys.

Power output on the TB is dead on, clean too.
