    need feedback as i am looking for one and cant decide!!

    Well if you check out my other posts about the TB325....

    I have run the 302 lots and just bought a 325 3 weeks ago or so, got about 25hrs on it now........ I really wanted a 302 again, but since they don't make'em I had to buy the 325, long story short very nice welder just has a few small things that I don't like, maybe it's just me????????

    Where abouts are ya in Canada?

      well, im still debating with 302 airpak or
      325 but the money difference....grr

      i might just dive and go with the 302 airpak think that one still available?!
      would be nice to try both myself and see the differences ...
      what purpose were or are you using your machines?

      i am in toronto region

        I use mine for everything that comes in the door from light 1/8 or less to 1 1/2" heavy equipment repair, when I bought the machine I brought it home had less then one hr on it hooked the gouger right up and cut in to a 6' ditching bucket off a Cat 345 hoe, once the gouging was done right over to .045 dual shield wire at 32V and about 450-500 wire for 30lbs of wire in about 10hrs.

        I never had a chance to run one of those TB airpak cause the price was just to high for my blood. I'm sure it would have been a **** fine machine.

        The regular TB302 I had was a great machine always started, always welded, we'll there was this one time where it had given my a small problem but turns out my own very stupid self, forgot I last used the machine on wire and never moved the cables back around on the machine, that one cost me some time and not very happy customer as I run back home and lifted it out and put my old SA200 on the truck to run back and finish the job.

        Well If you can't find anybody around where you are and you would like to try the 325 out, we are about 2-2 1/2 hrs away from each other you can come and try it out, just bring your rod,helmet, and what ever you like to weld on and your more then welcome to try it out.......

          Rhinox, I have a 302 and its a good machine, I'm sure the 325 would be the same.

          As far as the Air pac portion, would a $ 1,500.00 gas compressor fit the bill, much cheaper.

          That's what I run on my 2 rigs.

              To bad you were not in the Alberta area cause I've got a 325 here with 8 hours on the clock, it was a Miller Demo $5200, full warranty

                Really in a small machine, you have a toss up between the Miller 325 withe the pretty much non adjustable 25 hp EFI Kohler, which is resonably quiet, running an inverter for the excell power ( doesn't rev up on grinder power), or the Lincoln 305G EFI, which is not as quiet, running a adjustable 27 hp Kohler, and somewhat less expensive and you can get at everything engine wise if you mount the unit sideways behind your cab. I suppose you can also run an inverter to the battery for grinder use so as to not rev your engine up. While the Miller 325 is a good unit, most guys mount the machines behind the cab, can't change your oil too well there, and have to be yanked to do it.

                  well,
                  first of all, wanted to thanks everyone for their.02 cents and Railmen? not saying i wont stop by to give it a try...

                  -302 air pack or not...ac/dc unit ..a plus
                  for the air pack option, it is very convenient tho space wise (very) and miller charge a leg and an arm for it knowing that spacing is worth lot for some..not saying its fair but..they can!

                  the 325? i dont know .... what is the 325 have that the 302 doesnt? i think it the other way around... isnt it?
                  little lighter..?

                  but...do i need ac?? i have a dynasty 200dx probably will sell it to get a 280..anyway...
                  i usually dont run rod on Ac.. either!!

                  why would you go with the 325 over the 302?or vice versa??
                  is a 302 got bad reputation?
                  hard to decide between both ...
                  sure is nice to have a one-unit built in compressor...but does it worth the **** space loll

                            The 325 really has a few new things, tad more amps, smaller foot print, lighter, Muti-speed engine, quieter engine, 12,000watts genny.

                            Now things that the 302 has going for it. Proven reliability, AC for what? If you have a dynasty no need for AC for alum TIG welding with a HF251 box, arc blow and AC just move your rod or ground by the time you go back to your machine and change the selector to AC you should be done that weld, bigger fuel filler neck, very nice arc, I can't say enough about the 302, I loved mine.
