  • Stubby gas lens kit?

Does Miller/Weldcraft offer a stubby gas lens kit? I have found other kits available but not from Miller. Would like to be able to give my Miller distributor part numbers and know what I am getting is quality. Any help would be great, thanks.

I've ordered, hope to receive gas lenses tomorrow. They aren't specifically stubby. I'll keep my eye open.

The kit allows you to use 9 or 20 style gas lens cups/nozzles on a 17 style torch.

I think this may be the kit that you are thinking of...

There are a lot of places that have them... this is just one of them..

        http://www.usaweld.com/Stubby-Gas-Le...r1711stglc.htm

"...Stubby Gas Lens Kit fits all 17, 18 & 26 Series TIG torches. This kit allows you to put a 9 or 20 cup onto a 17, 18 or 26 torch head.

kit comes complete with .040", 1/16", 3/32" & 1/8" size collets and gas lens collet bodies, 4 alumina cups (#5, #6, #7, #8 size), heat shield, short and medium back caps. This kit will give you the ability to handle tungsten in the following sizes: .040", 1/16", 3/32" & 1/8".
You can shorten your total length by over half with this kit, and the small back cap, and help get into those tight spaces!

This kit fits all 17 & 26 Series Air Cooled torches and 18 Series Water Cooled torches, including the Lincoln PTA-17, PTA-18 and PTA-26 torches, Miller Diamondback DB17, DB18 and DB 26 torches, along with the Weldcraft LS-17, WP-17, WP-18 and WP-26 torches."

Here is a video on them from Welding Tips & Tricks...

Call arc zone. The ones they sell come in a miller package. Dont have the part numbers on hand sorry, and they ship fast and give you a free pack of m&m's. True
