    Went to a interview, used 1/16 flux cored wire, gas shielded, uphill. What are the correct settings?

    There are several things that need to be addressed here, who what where when and how kinda hard to dial it in with out certain info.

      Little more info. would help. Type of wire, straight CO2, material thickness, joint prep, etc? Example would be 1/16" Triple 7, straight CO2. Good starting point would be 25V, 175in/min. See attached link.

        3/8 thick, 25%argon ,Steel, 1/16 wire,vertical up, miller welder. T-joint

          You should ok , I think oht is spot on, if anything, I think technique is gonna be crucial

            Actually it was 75%-85% argon balance co2.. 125wfs 20-25 volts.. but I think wire type plays a big roll.

                25 volts, yikkes, that is where i start for flat spray on half inch

                  Wfs125- 20-25 v
                  175wfs 21-26v
                  200wfs 22-27v
                  225wfs 23-28v
                  250wfs 24-29v
                  300wfs 25-30v
                  This is what my spec sheet says
                  Ultracore 71A85 wire

                    What are the settings for uphill welding, what will you start @.. and ending? 3/8plate
