Many pipeliners put a couple of slots in their shields to alleviate fogging of the inner clear lens. This is especially helpful on cold mornings when firing up. Just be sure to slot it on the side thats not exposed to spatter when your laying under the pipe especially if your welding with 8010!!

I find this is the best thing for both protecting your breathing AND keeping helmet lens from fogging up: 3M 7502 with the P100/2091 pink filters or the gray P100/2297 (better IMO).

It has a DOWNWARD exhale vent, so as long as you don't have anything in the way, all your hot exhaled breath leaves out the bottom of the helmet.
