You can buy a A/C HF adaptor unit and use your bobcat. No bigs.

Well, why tig, run a spoolgun off your CV setting on your machine, so a WC-115 with contactor, Miller 30A, a bottle of Argon and off you go. Crazy simple and about 100 times faster than tig.

seams like someone told me about that before but this is not remote hookup right the only way to adjust the heat is to stop and adjust it at the welder right?

It could but you'd need a Spoolmatic 2 spool gun to go with it and you still wouldn't have a contactor.

The WC-2 was designed for use with power sources equipped with a contactor and as you know the Bobcat doesn't.

I'd suggest going with cruizer's recommendation.

Used market? I've seen good 30a guns from $300-600 pretty regular. And then the contactor, I don't know about that pricing used. Just a thought. Does it have to be new?

no it docent have to be new as long as its in good shape the spool guns about $950 and the controller is about $850… so the millermatic 30 & 15 is the only guns that will work with this type setup? and when talking about controller with or with a contractor what part are they refering to the small ground clamp

Some power supplies have a built in contactor to stop your welding current when you release the trigger on your gun. As in the trigger on your 30A spool gun or other MIG gun. If your machine lacks a remotely controlled contactor(and I believe it does) as Duane said you will want a controller with a contactor so that when you release the trigger the wire will not still be live and everything goes dead at the same time(that is wire feed and arc current). There are other combinations of spool gun and controller that could work but you need to buy the controller that matches the spool gun that you buy. The 30a/15a seems to be the odds on favorite in spool guns though.---Meltedmetal
