  • Millermatix 250X fan

How often should the fan come on while welding, I've owned mine for years and don't think I ever heard it run, Should the gun handle get hot while you weld?, I did some welding last night and the machine performed great, when I went out today to finish up kept getting bird nest, I changed the tip but still did the same thing, I'll replace the liner tomorrow, I hope it's nothing bad wrong with it..

Fan is thermostatically controlled based on the temp of the transformer. You would have to run it pretty hard to get the fan to come on.
Sounds like you have a kinked liner. Also check you drive rolls and inlet guide alignment while you are in there.
