        which welding process...??

        what metals to be joined.. specific alloys??

          Er70 mig I use htp. Good stuff and cheap. I just use Radnor tig wire but i don't use much. Smaw? Whatever k have. I think I've got Lincoln 7018 and 6011. Don't use that much.

          So what do you really want to know? What process and what are you welding?

            If some brands are better than others ...Hobart Lincoln etc etc

              I like alcotec filler for aluminum.
              Lincoln L56 super arc for mig. U gotta watch the lincoln wire. The l56 is good and made in america. They also have a cheaper one that comes from mexico and in my opinion that stuff sucks.

                    Brands not types

                    All of your big names and even alot of the no-names conform to AWS standards. If they do, than the difference is really just operator preference, not wether one filler is better than the other. Just make sure that the filler conforms to AWS standards and you wont go wrong.

                          I like the L-56 wire too . we use all Lincoln stick 6010 and 7018 Excalibur.
