I have acquired an older 180 SD. All worked great and then stopped. I only use this for tig. The light on the process switch does not light up. It does come on when switched to stick. Where do I go from here?

First step would be to download the owners manual here... plug in your serial number to make sure that you are getting the right version..

Then go to the chart on page 24.... 5-4. Troubleshooting

That process light only comes on when stick mode is selected indicating the weld output is on or in TIG mode when the foot peddle is pressed (or the finger switch is closed if torch is so equipped).

If output isn't activated by the peddle or figure switch, check them for a failed switch, broken wire or bad connection at the 14-pin connector (pins A & B).

Disconnect the 14 pin plug on the foot pedal when going to stick mode.
