  • 1/8" (10 gauge) pipe or plate with gap for root pass on carbon steel

    i successfully attempted welding a pipe with a wall thickness 1/8th of an inch thick. i tried welding a rootpass with 40 amps, though i would recommend around 43-45 amps. i had a prefect root though i should have ran a little hotter because it welded too slow.
