  • Millermatic 211 Feed Problems

What could cause a Millermatic 211 to not feed wire on 230v and not weld on 120v? I can hear a click in the board when I press the trigger on 230v but it will not feed. I tried it on 120v and it wont weld. Fan runs when the machine is powered on.

There was a thunderstorm that struck a palm tree in my yard and fried the power supply on my computer fried 2 tv's, my modem and router. The welder was plugged in and I fear maybe the board is fried.

    Any tips appreciated.

If those other electronics are fried I'd say the welder is probably to… one way to be sure though. Take it to a service center

Were any of those components plugged into a surge protector? If not, that would have saved you a lot of head ache. Ja

        Millermatic 211 Feed Problems

I would say definitely affected by lightning (if it was ok before the strike?)

        One of these

        Would help protect some electronics.

Still recommended to use a primary surge protector though.

How old is your welder ?? If it is under three years old ""Call Miller"" They will let you know what to do.
