    Has anyone every successfully welded sintered iron to mild steel?
    What rod and process did you use?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

            I haven't done it but I've seen it on something, possibly on a lawn tractor and if memory serves it looked like mig welding. I took a quick look at the link Dipsomaniac posted and it looks like you might need to know the chemistry, density and process of both pieces and then spend a lot of time experimenting and maybe consult a metallurgist and a welding engineer to get something useable. For that reason unless there are many, many parts to do it might be simpler to cast the part or machine one out of something easily weldable. Like Dipsomaniac I am also curious what it is you are trying to do.---Meltedmetal
