  • Leaking pump on coolmate 4

Came in to the shop this morning and the pump has developed a leak from the small hole on the bottom of the housing. Anyone know what can be done to fix and prevent this??

Likely a rotary seal gone. Replace it. Check for corrosion under the seal, repair as needed.--Meltedmetal

Check with Miller on this. I have been having a headache with pumps in brand new Pipeworx coolers for the past month. I have changed out pumps that were leaking with new pumps only for them to start leaking within a week. Come to find out, Miller got a bad batch of pumps where the shaft seal surface inside the pump wasn't machined properly.

The Coolmate 4 that is leaking is less than a year old. The weld rep is replacing it for us. It's NOT a Miller part, however it's covered under warranty...
