  • Arc Timer/Counter, Dynasty, Acceptable Hours vs Value?

These two values were mentioned in a previous thread. For detail they can be found in the owners manual on Page 37 in Section 5-17.

So the question is what is a lot of hours and what is not?

How would one use those values from a specific used machine to determine price/reliability/etc.?

    Example:
    - I can get a new Miller Stock package # 951139 for $5000.
    - I can get that same Miller Stock package # 951139 used for $3500.

    - What would that used Dynasty be worth if it had Arc Timer = 100?
    - What would that used Dynasty be worth if it had Arc Timer = 500?

I know the answers will be subjective but an average should be able to be drawn from the responses.

The difrence between 100 hours and 500 hours is to close and I would say be worth about the same. At that point I would look more at what year it was manufactured. They have a 3 year warranty, so I would pay a little more for a welder with warranty remaining
