  • Whats better to keep on hand, silicon or aluminum bronze

I want to build a 2 door welding cabinet, like an office cabinet, out of some metal building siding I have. I want to build the shelves out of 3/4 flat expanded metal and 1 X 1/8 square tube I have on hand also. What would be the best for welding the expanded metal to the tubing, aluminum or silicon bronze, no galvo involved.

Dont use either, Just use your mig welder with ER70 S6 wire. and screw the siding to the frame.

I plan on screwing the metal siding to the angle iron frame or using aluminum rivets, but I never have used aluminum or silicon bronze before and thought this would be a good project to learn it's qualities. I don't care about costs, it's a interest thing, and also I would like having something on hand for mig welding dissimilar metals.
