  • welding blade pivot ball on dozer

i am replacing pivot ball on dozer blade. Is there any rod to use that would be better than another? planning on running 1/8 7018. i have a trailblazer 302 and 12vs suitcase i could use but have more clean up and set up time . i thought mabye stick would be faster. any tips or ideas

7018 would be fine. Nothing special about them.

      up or down

7018 better running up hill or down hill?

Usually better running uphill, downhill is possible but can be tougher because of slag if you don't move fast enough.

Maybe if you have to ask?

7018 uphill. Don't know the dozer size but if using 1/8 rod probably 3 passes all around.

Run NR232... It's strong and won't crack from impact.. The last ones I did I used L-56 Lincoln wire with 75/25 mix and they have held with out any problems
