    What's going on guys!

I need some advice. Just bought a Miller Maxtron 450 cc/cv, and it was hooked up to 3 phase. How can I convert it to single phase?

    Cheers,

I actually have 2 Miller Maxtron 450 cc/cv welders. Both are 3 Phase. Here are the serial numbers from both units.

      Serial No.

      Welder #1: KE640235
      Welder #2: KD512491

You can connect those to single phase by connecting your incoming power to the "L1" and "L2" at the TE2 Terminal Block, where you connect your incoming power. Keep in mind the higher amount of primary current draw on single phase power.

Input Voltage / Input Amps at Rated Output / Recom Fuse Size / Conductor Size

        230V - 89.6 A - 125 A - 4 ga
        460V - 47.2 A - 60 A - 8 ga

          Thanks for the reply.

My machine says 460/575v on the front panel.

I need it to hook up to 240v single phase. Is this possible?

My guess is 460v means single and 575v means three phase. I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Only if you have some way to step up the Voltage

There is 460v Single phase as well as 575 single phase but that doesn't help you with trying to run it off of 240v Single phase since the machine you have was designed for 460v/575v Single or 3=Phase

Well, 460 comes in singe or 3 pahse, as does 575. And neither are going to help your situation.

you can get a step up transformer, somewhat costly. but it will work
