They can do what they like but it is not a very "open to new members" group imo
I've kind of noticed that here too
I still like this board better!

Me too for welding and general fab work. Miller is the first site I check. Not every day is great, but since the troublemakers are not posting, I still visit every day. I would mention names of members of input I like but I wont now because I would not want to leave anyone out. Notice....be nice to Cruiser ...he's a Godsend

I lost what little standing I had on SFT over the flap wheel test debacle.
I had the pile of 4 on my desk waiting on the big grinding and finishing job I knew was comming up. On the day the grinding started, picked them up and headed into the shop when I got an emergency phone call, not thinking on the way out the door I set them down on the bench in the shop. When I got back the pile was gone and when i asked how they worked the reply was ok I guess. pretty hard to give a review with that answer so I never said anything.

You didn't lose any standing with me...for what that's worth..

That small elite group are probably members like me who are retired and have all day to post while the rest of y'all are out working and paying my SS...I doubt if I have any more standing there than you do..probably less..

I think Ron is a great guy, it's Cutter's bias moderation I don't care for.

Just so I make my self clear here.....I love to read SFT. And I have nothing against anyone there. But I do see and feel it is a bit "clicky".
I am not sure why that is.
They seem to have very little going on at times, but the core group goes on all the time about whatever. Good group of people there. Way broader subject matter than here. It's #3 on my forum list.
