  • rod ???

Has anyone ever used or heard of xergon#106 welding rod? Ran out of 7018 @ work and was given this to finish the job. I was told it was gomparable to the 7018, It welded great verticle up and flat to the point where the slag was peeling off by itself in between grabbing a new rod. It has a little darker flux on it and welds had a little more shine to them almost like there was some nickle in it. In the end it welded great and got the job done was just curiouse what this rod was intended for, thanks Eric.

Nope never heard of that one. Sounds like a Rockmount name since they have funny names for their rods...Bob

It was in a sealed plastic bag, the guy at work said he has had it for a while and it was bought some time ago by the previouse boss but it sure did weld nice!
