  • Arcone X540D Welding Filter feedback?

Are there any users of the Arcone X540D auto-dark welding filter out there? I'm considering this as a replacement filter for my MP-10 passive shade. thanks, jim

So, has anybody used the Arc One shade? I appreciate the sale offer, but it won't fit in my helmet.jim

Well, to close this thread out, I purchased an X540D filter.

It has 4 sensors, supports TIG and Grind modes, and is adjustable shade 10-11.

Clear state visibility is excellent, with a noticeable amber cast to the standard green ADF tint. Sadly the filter seems to lack contrast when the arc is going, making it difficult to differentiate the weld puddle from arc, and clarity of surrounding environment when dark doesn't seem to be much better than my Lowe's AD helmet. The filter will not fit in the standard filter holder of a Miller MP-10, the holder blocks the controls on the filter. I've switched it to a cheapo Hobart hood from TSC in order to test.

        ciao
