  • Millermatic 210-spoolgun?

I have a millermatic 210 I bought brand new about 7-8yrs ago. Great machine and have zero problems with it. I want to try alum welding now and want a spool gun. I understand I need a 3035. Since my machine is direct drive (plug and go) what else do I need to start welding? If I order the spoon gun does it just plug in and go?

I have 75%-25% gas bottle for it now, so I guess I need another bottle with 100% argon do I need another set of regulators? or does that come with the gun? any help would be great..

The 3035 is a plug and play. No other mods are needed. The welder has gun on demand and whatever trigger you pull will select the correct gas and go to work. One of Millers better ideas. I have that set up on my MM210 and it works well, but not too thin and all will be well.
Remember it likes hot and fast so fit up is important.

I could find anywhere it said it came with a regulator either. That would be the only thing I would see I need with the spool gun.. Well the other bottle of 100% argon. Is that the best gas to use? thanks.. this ideas I have always cost me $$

I am looking at ordering from cyber weld. Do you guys have another place you order from? I have good luck with them in the past. What is a good regulator to purchase with the spool gun?

Cyberweld is good, some like brweldingsupply. If you have a local welding supplier (LWS) give them a shot. I have fancy and plane jane regs that came with my machines, they all work fine for me. Pick up same brand that came with your 210. That should be fine.

Thank you Sir... I will try both places- just went and looked and I have Smith regs on the 210 so I will go with them... Hopefully I will be welding alum next weekend..

Good luck, welding aluminum is hard at first. Practice, remember your mig technique, always degrease( clean )with acetone, and use a stainless brush to clean your material. That's always my 2 cents when it comes to Al welding.
