  • Alumapro Head Tube Modification

I am in the sign / sheetmetal fabrication industry. We use a Miller 350P pulse machine with a Alumapro XR gun. 90% of our welding is spot welds on .090 alumnum from the back side, then sanded and finished (painted)on the front side. The limitations of the Alumapro head tube, even though it rotates, makes it very difficult to reach many areas of projects. There is not a 10" flexible extension like the 30A spool gun so options are very limited. Has anyone modified a head tube to fit in tight spots or took a 30A flex head tube and retrofitted it to the Alumapro? Are there aftermarket options available in head tubes for the Alumapro that I am missing? Any suggestions are welcomed. Spent $2K on a gun that will not do everything I need it to do.
