  • Thumbs up to Magswitch

Got my 300A Magswitch ground clamp in today....

Honestly I was a bit skeptical about the thing, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I would recommend it to people who face the same issues I do with grounding work. It holds very well, I was worried about its small footprint...

Did have to drill out the terminal on the ground lead a couple sizes bigger, really did not want to do that...

    That's all, carry on...

Now if we could just figure out a way to make them work on aluminum, we'd be in business.

Funny you say that, most all my work is Aluminum...

However I just ground the steel fixture that the parts are built on, works very well

Put a piece of steel behind the aluminum that is the size of the Magswitch, It will keep the aluminum sandwiched between the Magswitch and the steel when magnetized. Don't see any problems unless your aluminum is very thick.

                I paid 45 plus 7 for shipping.

The only thing I might have done or do in the future is spring the addtl 50 for the 600A unit, just because I like overkill, and it's footprint is larger.

However, no regrets whatsoever with the 300A unit
