I just read that Miller has discontinued the Diamondback line. I tried to buy a DB20MR Diamondback today and no one had one or could get one from Miller. I was told that Miller bought Weldcraft and that the 20 size Weldcraft torch is a direct match to the Diamondback. The only difference is the color. What do you guy's think??

The Weldcraft #20 is a fine torch. A Weldcraft Rep I see at a lot of the shows told me they made the DB for Miller. I have bought and sold my fair share of used TIG machines and most of them had Weldcraft torches.

I really like the new Weldcraft Crafter Series. I recently mentioned the CS410. I prefer it over the CS310 because it will use up to a 5/32" diameter tungsten electrode. The SF225 is another neat Weldcraft water cooled torch using interchangeable heads. It is great for most general purpose applications to welding in confined spaces such as cylinder heads. It is an awesome set up! Check out Weldcraft's Website (http://www.weldcraft.com/) . Go to products and look at flex torches. It is listed as the SF225. I believe the R suffix denotes the nice flexible braided hoses rather than the stiffer vinyl.

BTW: The Weldcraft products are much better than their website.

If the Weldcraft design does not suit your needs, take a look at CK Worldwide (http://ckworldwide.com/) . They make standard and specialty torches.

Just because a torch is rubber instead of plastic does not mean it will flex. You better not be bending any torch head unless it has a flex head, and even then they are not designed to be bent millions of times. They will break. That said, I like CK. My main torch is a CK 20 flex with superflex cables. The Weldcraft 310 crafter series are nice but CK does it better because they offer the same torch in a flex head.
